History

The crypto exchange was founded in 2014 by San Francisco-based businessman Tristan D’Agosta (Busoni), who sold it in 2018 to Circle Internet Financial Ltd. The following year, Polo Digital Assets Ltd bought the site. Expanding trading volumes and growing popularity have allowed Poloniex to expand beyond the US borders and gain several new localisations. The listing contains over 200 coins forming over 300 trading pairs.

Mobile App

The free app for smartphones based on Android and iOS is designed to enhance the usability of the site. The functionality of the app is similar to the full-size version with adaptation for small screens.
